Happy New Year

Its the chinese year of the rooster folks. This rooster had better be free of chemo come April ...

Went to my favourite framers yesterday. Had an old Congress of South African Trades Union poster to frame. As it is quite delicate the framer's wife was concerned the backing paper might damage the original. She said " we have a customer who has a lot of these rare posters done. He tends not to put any acetate or backing.." After the sizes were finalised, she asked for my details. It was at this point that it dawned on her that the customer she was referring to above was ..yes...yours truly. She had not recognised me. The blotchy puffed up face had totally thrown her. She apologised and said in a concerned kind of way " how are you keeping?" This is the first time it has hit home how different I do look now from even a few months ago. I am wondering how to exploit this - discounted OAP train passes to London perhaps?

while you're at it, why not consider a blue badge, you can "pass it on" to the neighbour later this year (for a fee of course - I understand that they are quite valuable). Don't only stop at the - now easier to achieve – amenities(?) such as the BB and OAP passes why not also apply for disability allowance as well? Soon to become extinct Local Authorities with their "Modernised Processes"(if only they worked! although an optimist would argue about iterative processes and how these would develop in ten years to become more effective in filtering out the fraudsters), a result of the Modernisation Agenda and BVPI 157, offer UK citizens (and selective others) greater potential to achieve what was once almost impossible. Makes one wonder why the home office are kicking out hard working illegal aliens who survive on bread and water and pay emergency tax just to fund the economy of this mucky island. Sorry, as you can see I’ve got nothing better to do than vent. must be that giant spicy rooster in my brain. Anyway xin nian kuai le

Disability allowance to be phased out? Is this being replaced by Direct Payments? More lolly or what?
