Late News

The man mainly responsible for my delayed scan and diagnosis - a Professor Sissons - is now the new Regius Professor of Physic at Cambridge University. He is a fellow of Darwin - as is my wife. I will get her to heckle him.

A delay in the diagnosis of a condition like yours is a very serious offence and identifies some gaping holes in the medical profession. Cancer Research may be doing their frenzied best but as for the medical profession? They need much more to be considered useful.

The NHS is not the only organisation delivering consistently poor levels of "customer service". Many other organisations that are also adopting the current (business) practice – especially, but not limited to the public sector - are affected by the lack of adequate customer service policies. Makes us wonder what we are paying for. The current agenda has designed an organisation with business aims and corporate identity but does it fulfill the priority under which its’ intention was originally designed?

I know of a lad with Glioblastoma Multiforme being treated on the continent. They are so much more efficient over there – in my opinion.

Several medics including two treating me have said the same - that things are different across the channel.

I will write more about the illustrious Sissons later. I need to find a temper management consultant first.

Temper management consultant? When you find one, post up the contact and experience of your treatment please. I too - it appears - need a consultation but refuse to get off my backside and go to see one until I am either forced to or have company.

Well before i write about Sissons, I will need to be connected to a drip with some kind of mega-sedative in it. And to top it all he is a nice mild-mannered guy.
